Stratos Pier® RPC380 Residential Heavy Duty
Stratos Pier® RPC380
Stratos Pier® System is a concentrically loaded, unicentrically driven pier that has revolutionized the piering industry. Our patent pending technology makes the Stratos Pier® System the only truly adjustable pier on the market. The Stratos Pier® adjusts to meet the footing even if the footing is not level, without losing any contact surface or integrity of the pier. The load will always be carried precisely on the rim of the pier pipe for perfect distribution from the footing all the way to bedrock or stable strata.
The Stratos Pier® System has been engineered tested to meet or exceed ASTM standards, it has been installed under thousands of homes without incident or failure of any kind. All the Stratos Pier® parts are machined and assembled using the latest technologies and are held to the highest standards in the industry. The Stratos Pier® comes with a Lifetime Warranty by both the installer and the manufacturer, and is backed by our Stratos Trust Guarantee.
Torsion JointThe Stratos Pier® Torsion Joint has been engineered to allow for the footing of a structure to off by up to 8 degrees while insuring the Stratos Pier® will keep 100% contact with the footing without the use of grout or shims. The Torsion ball and the Torsion Cap that rest upon it are machined for perfect alignment and will keep 100% contact between the two parts even at the full 8 degrees of tilt. The Torsion Cap is designed to stop at 8 degrees to insure that the installer does not get outside of the designed parameters. The 3" disc of the Torsion Cap will keep surface friction between the Stratos Plate and Torsion Joint.
Single Step NutThe unique single step nut that is welded into the bottom of the stud is threaded to accept a 1-1/2" Threaded rod that allows for the adjustment of height between the Platform and the footing of a structure. The weight from a structure is distributed through the Torsion Joint, into both the inner and outer Torsion Pipes and placed perfectly on the single step nuts outer ring and inner base. The load is then transferred through the Single Step Nut and into the threaded rod that is screwed into it. The Single Step Nut is a crucial part of the Stratos Pier® System and has been engineered to work under pressure.
Torsion BlockThe adjustable Torsion Stud in the Stratos Pier® System allows for the bottom of the footing to be off from horizontally level by 8 degrees without losing any of the piers integrity and with out the need for shims or grout. The unique single step nut that is welded into the bottom of the stud and is threaded to accept a 1-1/2" Threaded rod that allows for the adjustment of height between the Platform and the footing of a structure. The weight from a structure is distributed through the Torsion Joint, into both the inner and outer Torsion Pipe and placed perfectly on the single step nuts outer ring and inner base.
Stratos PlateThe Stratos Pier® Plate is the contact point between the footing of a structure and the Stratos Pier® Torsion Block. The Stratos Pier® Plate is used when driving the pier pipe into the soil in order to help distribute the pressure that is being placed on the footing by the hydraulic pump and ram used by the installer. The Stratos Pier® Plate is again used to distribute pressure when lifting the structure that rests upon the footing in order to keep it from cracking or displacing. It is left in place after the installation of the pier is completed to insure that the weight of the structure is being distributed on the pier with having a Point Load on the footing itself.
Stratos PlatformThe Stratos Pier® Platform is a 4" H x 6" W x 15" L rectangular tube made from 1/2" thick steel and is tough enough to lift even the heaviest residential and light commercial buildings. Up to three 20 - 25 ton hydraulic rams or bottle jacks can be placed on the platform for maximum lifting power without bending or warping the Platform. The Platform utilizes our patent pending Double Step Nut and saddles the pier pipe to insure perfect concentric loading.
Double Step NutThe Stratos Pier® Systems unique double step nut allows for 100% concentric alignment of the platform and pier pipe. The Lower step is cradled inside the pier pipe while the upper step is welded within our Platform itself to insure alignment. Should the soils create any movement below the structure our pier platform will not come out of alignment with the pier pipe due to the Double Step Nuts design. The threaded rod that allows our torsion block to adjust vertically threads into the double step nut to insure perfect alignment and maximum holding strength.
Automated WeldsThe Stratos Pier® is manufactured and assembled at our facility under strict guidelines and supervision. We use the latest equipment and technology to manufacture the Stratos Pier's parts. The automated welding process used during the assembly of the pier assures we will have perfect welds every time so there is no doubt we are providing the best products to our installers and their customers. We are constantly finding new and better ways to build The Stratos Pier® and will continue to build only the best.
